Captured From Nature

  • St. Pete ArtWorks 2412 Central Avenue St. Petersburg, FL 33712 United States (map)

Vanya Robinson describes her art as captured from nature, thus the title of her latest exhibition. After travelling the world and living most of her life in Europe, Vanya moved to Tucson, Arizona. At that time her inspiration was found in the Sonoran Desert. She created her jewelry and sculptures primarily from saguaro cactus boots (some of which can be seen in the show).

After relocating to St. Petersburg three years ago, her offerings became inspired by the ocean. Seashells are the main ingredient in her new art. Each sculpture or piece of jewelry is an amazingly unique, colorful and iridescent piece of art assembled of handpicked seashells from the beaches of Florida.

See Vanya’s work August 11-September 12 online, through the window or inside the gallery at St. Pete ArtWorks. Her closing reception will be during Art Walk September 12 from 5 to 7 pm.
